SANITATION DISTRICT 1 OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY is seeking a skilled professional to manage the design and construction of capital improvement projects in Ft. Wright, KY.

The role involves overseeing sewer and wastewater projects, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and local agencies, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with Kentucky PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from four-year college or university.
• Licensed engineer in Kentucky is preferred but not required.
• Experience with capital improvement projects and design-build processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and construction of capital improvement projects, including sanitary and storm sewer rehab and replacements.
• Plan, investigate, and perform field work to determine feasibility and options.
• Oversee construction sites to ensure conformance to plans and safety standards.
• Direct construction and maintenance activities and supervise staff and contractors.
• Coordinate with SD1 personnel and outside consultants on design documents.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, and progress reports; manage costs and milestones.
• Manage professional services and construction contracts, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate with material suppliers and testing subcontractors for QA.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
