Job summary

Sanitation District No. 1 is seeking a Director of Capital Improvement Projects in Ft Wright, KY. This role leads the planning, design, and construction of major wastewater and storm water capital projects, and oversees a team charged with delivering complex infrastructure programs.

The position requires PE licensure in Kentucky or the ability to obtain it within six months, 6–10 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership in project management, budgeting, and contract oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• Six to ten years of related experience and/or training with similar types of work
• Registered PE in the State of Kentucky, or have the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of employment preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees planning, design, and construction of projects within a large capital program.
• Directs department activities to ensure efficient operation and completion of responsibilities.
• Develops annual goals, budgets and staffing plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
• Manage professional services and construction contracts, including costs and schedules.
