Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team across multiple US offices, including Nashville. You will support Sr. Project Managers, develop project plans, budgets, and schedules while coordinating communications.

This role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering, CAPM preferred, and travel. Strong communication and proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CADD are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an Associate degree in engineering preferred.
• CAPM Certification encouraged.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Engineer 1 or minimum 3 years related experience.
• Travel required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CADD.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers and/or Project Manager with day-to-day tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets.
• Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures.
• Manage small or low-complexity projects under supervision.
• Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
• May be primary contact between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
• Follow procedures to administer project elements (cost estimating, correspondence, document control).
• Communicate client requirements to each discipline.
• Participate in client meetings and business development activities.
• Assist in preparing proposals, including low-complexity proposals.
• Assist in collecting past due accounts.
• Assist in training other Assistant Project Managers.
• May attend client meetings to take minutes and distribute.
