Job summary

Terracon in Midland, TX is seeking a skilled project engineer to manage facilities, environmental, geotechnical, or related engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will coordinate internal staff and outside vendors, prepare reports, conduct meetings, and communicate project status to clients while maintaining compliance with safety plans and company risk policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, or 6 years’ related experience in lieu of a degree.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision manage a small project or one phase of a large project.
• Implement an established project plan.
• Identify, resolve, or escape operational problems and minimize delays.
• Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
• Analyze project requirements and perform calculations or writes reports and completes deliverables.
• Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure integration and satisfactory service.
• Estimate costs, resources, and time for the assigned phase and monitor progress.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports.
