Job summary

Terracon is seeking a project engineer/manager to oversee facilities, environmental, or geotechnical projects in Texas. The role focuses on delivering safely, on time, and within scope and budget, coordinating with clients and vendors, and leading safety initiatives.

The candidate will manage project plans, resources, and financials, and will report progress to clients and project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology with 5 years of related experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of small to medium projects to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Define project scope, schedule and budget with the client or NAM.
• Design, communicate and implement a project plan for timely completion.
• Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with approved safety plans.
• Coordinate resources, schedules, budgets, forecasts and external contractors.
• Prepare meetings and reports to communicate project status to client and team.
• Coordinate with APR for oversight and reviews at critical junctures.
• Coordinate with accounting for invoicing and collections.
