Job summary

Esi Electrical Contractors, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager to train under a senior Project Manager and gain hands-on supervision of construction sites from bid to closeout. You will help manage scope, contracts, budgets, and schedule while developing leadership in a field environment.

Responsibilities include pre-job meetings, manpower planning, cost tracking, and ensuring timely closeouts. This role emphasizes collaboration with estimators, field supervisors, and safety professionals

Qualifications

• Minimum five-year electrical apprenticeship or related degree.
• 2–3 years as Project Engineer or Assistant PM.
• Leadership and construction industry experience preferred.
• BICSI PM102 training preferred; additional installer trainings a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to contract awareness and change order process.
• Lead pre-job meetings and coordinate project team attendance.
• Develop and monitor manpower with scheduling tools.
• Manage project budgets and phase-wise costs with estimator and field staff.
• Review large purchase orders, subcontracts, and invoices for accuracy.
• Support production, quality, and safety practices on site.
• Prepare professional correspondence and communicate with stakeholders.
• Assist with billing, payroll coordination, and cost tracking.
• Maintain Cost to Complete reports and forecast labor needs.
• Analyze cost data and ensure timely closeouts and O&M records.
• Attend estimator meetings and prequalifications as needed.
