Job summary

Blue Line Drywall & Insulation in North Brunswick, NJ is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 1–2 years of construction experience to support commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will assist with planning, reviewing drawings and specs, coordinating subcontractors, tracking budgets and schedules, and maintaining documentation while growing your career in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in construction, project management, estimating, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Basic understanding of commercial construction methods and materials
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
• Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts by reviewing takeoffs, pricing, and bid documents
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and project documentation
• Track project budgets, schedules, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents
• Monitor project progress and communicate potential schedule or budget impacts
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is up to date
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Attend project meetings and visit job sites as needed
• Work closely with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations to support new and ongoing projects
