Job summary

CT Mechanical, a division of Comfort Temp Company, seeks a Project Engineer to support mechanical projects from turnover through closeout in Jacksonville and Gainesville. You will assist with technical coordination, procurement, and documentation under the Project Management team.

Ideal for early‑career engineers with a hands-on mindset, the role offers growth toward project management, exposure to HVAC/plumbing systems, and collaboration with field teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in project engineering, coordination, or construction/mechanical contracting.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings and understand HVAC/plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with Bluebeam or AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Project setup, turnover coordination, and handoff to field teams in Jacksonville and Gainesville.
• Review plans and specs to identify scope and conflicts early.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement tracking to support schedules.
• Assist with purchase orders, subcontracts, and change order proposals.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, and insurance certificates.
• Support field teams with technical questions and site visits as needed.
• Closeout tasks including O&M manuals, start-up reports, and warranties.
