Job summary

Hourigan is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer in Rock Hill, SC to learn construction management tracks including field management, project management, and preconstruction services. This role offers exposure to virtual design & construction coordination and safety, with emphasis on collaboration and timely delivery.

You will support the project team with permit processes, documentation control, and site planning while developing skills across preconstruction and field activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or 0-3 years of progressive construction related experience.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings and evenings, to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow & assist with development of procedures for controlling contract drawings.
• Assist Project Administrator with set up of the job management system.
• Assist the project team with the building permit process.
• Assist the Superintendent in the development of the site utilization plan.
• Assist with the review and coordination of the Loss Prevention, Sustainability Action Plan and Quality Control Program.
• Review and process all submittal data and shop drawings to ensure schedules are met.
