Job summary

Metric Geo, partnered with a leading heavy civil and infrastructure firm, seeks a motivated Project Engineer to support public and private projects across the region. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on exposure to large-scale construction while working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the country.

You will assist in reviewing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, coordinating schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships or co-ops in heavy civil construction a plus.
• Strong communication and high attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and field team through all phases of construction.
• Review drawings and specs and interpret for field crews.
• Perform quantity take-offs and track completed/installed work.
• Assist with scheduling, work packages, and material coordination.
• Maintain project documentation, submittals, and as-built records.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox meetings.
