Job summary

Metric Geo is partnering with a leading heavy civil and infrastructure construction firm seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support public and private projects across New York. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on exposure by working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on major infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will review drawings, perform quantity take-offs, assist with scheduling and coordination, and maintain project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships ok.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and field team through all phases of construction.
• Review drawings and interpret specs for field crews.
• Perform quantity take-offs and track progress.
• Assist with scheduling, work packages, and material coordination.
• Maintain project documentation, submittals, and as-built records.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox meetings.
