Job summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Analyst I to join our San Diego program controls team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex capital improvement and infrastructure projects that positively impact communities while building a strong foundation in project controls, cost management, scheduling, and project delivery.

The position begins ASAP and provides growth through hands-on training, mentorship from senior staff, and exposure to leading tools

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• US Citizenship required due to nature of work.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and senior project controls staff with cost forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and risk analysis.
• Assist with maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6 and cost data in project management systems such as Primavera Unifier.
• Analyze project financial data, run reports, review expenditures, and ensure accurate cost coding and compliance with procedures.
• Support change management, records of change processing, and earned value management activities.
• Track project commitments, purchase orders, invoices, and contract expenditures.
• Assist with project financial closeout activities and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with construction management teams, contract specialists, and stakeholders to support delivery goals.
