Matheson Tri-Gas is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to join our CO2 and dry ice division in Irving, TX. You will assist in overseeing installation, operation, and maintenance of refinery equipment while supporting process improvements and data-driven optimization.

The role emphasizes learning process flows, applying statistical methods, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A BS in chemical engineering and a willingness to travel as needed are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 0–1 years – Experience with PSM processes preferred; Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
• 1–3 years – AutoCAD software usage.

Responsibilities

• Review process deliverables: P&IDs, process data sheets, equipment specs, AutoCAD drawings, SOPs, PM schedules, HAZOP, manuals.
• Analyze LCO2 process flows to improve quality, cost, and throughput.
• Apply statistical methods for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Assist with installation, modification, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Maintain safe, reliable processes while improving production rates and changeovers.
• Provide operational and technical support to team and management.
• Develop proficiency in LCO2 refinery processes.
