Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson in Texas is seeking a Junior Process Engineer to support our CO2 and dry ice division. This entry-level role focuses on heat transfer, fluid flow, and chemical exchange in refinery processes, assisting in the installation, operation, and maintenance of LCO2 equipment.

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-1 years preferred for Safety/PSM processes; Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with reviewing process diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with review of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, process data sheets, equipment specifications, AutoCAD drawings, cause and effect diagrams, SOPs, PM schedules, HAZOP, and manuals.
  • Learn to analyze LCO2 process flows for quality, cost reduction, and throughput enhancements; develop action plans and communicate across the organization.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
  • Assist with the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of process equipment.
  • Maintain reliable and safe process systems while improving production rates, yields, costs, and changeovers.
  • Provide operational and technical support to team members and management.
  • Develop proficiency in the LCO2 refinery processes.
