As a Preconstruction Estimator I, you'll support early phases of projects by assisting senior estimators with quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3+ years in construction estimating, preconstruction, or related field; internships encouraged.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic estimating concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing conceptual, ROM, and detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
• Review documents and perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Gather supplier/subcontractor pricing to support budgets and proposals.
• Support bid proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and bid packages for submittal.
• Maintain organized project files and estimate records.
• Identify basic design challenges and value engineering opportunities.
• Participate in client meetings to gather scope and provide estimating input.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to align deliverables with project goals.
• Support special projects and on-the-job learning in preconstruction.
