Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Portfolio Reporting Analyst in the Richmond, VA area to support portfolio planning and reporting activities. You will maintain project and portfolio information, validate data, and prepare weekly and monthly executive dashboards.

The role emphasizes data analysis, attention to detail, and clear communication. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and familiarity with ServiceNow and GitLab is a plus.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role requiring foundational analytical skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Degree in business, IT, management, finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Teams and SharePoint.
• Experience with ServiceNow and GitLab is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project and portfolio information.
• Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio reports and executive dashboards.
• Monitor project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures.
• Coordinate project governance meetings and track follow-up action items.
• Support portfolio planning, intake, and prioritization activities.
• Validate data and maintain information in ServiceNow.
• Analyze data and develop summary views that communicate findings.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for portfolio performance and key metrics.
• Assist with month-end and quarterly reporting.
• Prepare reporting materials for leadership meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data quality.
• Maintain reporting documentation, report definitions, and standard operating procedures.
