Job summary

OBAN Corporation is seeking a Policy Analyst to support complex projects through rigorous policy analysis, research, and reporting. You will help identify policy options, assess legislative impacts, and prepare recommendations for decision-makers.

The role requires a BS/BA and up to 2 years of relevant experience, with opportunities to develop federal project work in a collaborative environment. Candidates must be able to obtain security clearances and work on site in the Washington DC metro

Qualifications

Proven ability to analyze programs and policies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assists in complex projects which utilize management analysis and research techniques to identify policy options, impacts, and priorities.
Assists in the review of materials.
Prepares reports detailing the efficacy of programs and policies, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
Assesses the impact of proposed legislation and prepared fiscal estimates.
Present analyses and recommendations to committees.
Promotes data-driven policy with high knowledge of program, policy, and funding issues.
Strong public presentation skills.
Provides editorial and content feedback.
Evaluates policy principles to describe values driving decisions and directions.
Reviews requests and answers questions regarding policies and procedures.
