Job summary

Carter's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking a motivated Junior Plumber in White Lake, MI. You will work with experienced plumbers to diagnose and repair residential systems, learn proper techniques, and communicate with customers.

Training emphasizes safety, accuracy, and career growth in a team‑oriented shop environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with a wide range of residential plumbing tasks, building skills toward becoming a skilled, independent plumber.

Qualifications

• Previous plumbing experience and running own calls/truck.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the plumbing trade.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to work in customers' homes.
• Reliable, team-oriented with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced plumbers with residential service, repairs, replacements, and installations.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot residential plumbing issues.
• Assist with work on water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, piping, drains, and other plumbing systems.
• Learn proper plumbing repair and installation techniques through hands-on training.
• Safely use hand and power tools and learn how to properly care for plumbing tools and equipment.
• Help prepare materials, equipment, and job sites for plumbing work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicle, and tools.
• Follow all safety procedures, plumbing codes, and company standards.
• Learn how to communicate professionally with homeowners and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete job documentation and other paperwork accurately with guidance from experienced plumbers.
• Ask questions, learn from experienced team members, and continuously build your plumbing skills.
