Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Plumber I to start a career in commercial plumbing. You will assist senior plumbers with basic maintenance, inspections, repairs, and installations across office buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities.

Under supervision you gain hands-on experience learning IPC/UPC codes, safety practices, and documentation while growing toward journeyman status in a people-first, development-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in plumbing, mechanical, facilities maintenance, construction, or related field; no prior commercial plumbing experience required.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school or plumbing certificate a plus (will be supported).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; backflow certification a plus; OSHA 10 encouraged (company support).
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, and working in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior plumbers with preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Support troubleshooting and repairs under direct guidance; assist with fixtures.
• Document findings, take photos, and complete basic work orders.
