Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in physics, nuclear engineering, or a related technical field with strong academic record.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Java, or Python.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to travel for field tests and meetings with government partners.
  • Eligibility for Interim Secret clearance and eventual Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and evaluate scientific instrumentation for national defense and security applications.
  • Develop software to operate test equipment and algorithms to detect radiological material.
  • Participate in field studies to guide technology development and evaluate performance.
  • Build and run Monte Carlo simulations to model radiation transport.
