Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist in a grooming salon to learn bathing, drying, brushing, and basic grooming under guidance. You will prioritize pet safety and comfort while delivering excellent customer service to pet parents.

The role emphasizes hands-on training during Weeks 1-10 with a focus on developing grooming skills and progressing within Petco Grooming. Competitive base pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming.
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes with care and empathy.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services under supervision (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning).
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
• Maintain a clean grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain records.
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies and standards.
