Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming to begin their career. During a ten-week training period you will learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and more under seasoned groomers, gaining hands-on experience and foundational skills.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and grooming practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services under supervision (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning).
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines.
