Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Junior Patch Management Specialist to support the patch management lifecycle for desktops, laptops, and remote endpoints. You will help identify required OS and application patches, coordinate testing, deploy updates, and monitor status to reduce vulnerabilities.

You will work with cybersecurity staff to ensure patches align with current advisories and security policies, while maintaining documentation for audits and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS or related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience in systems administration, IT support, or cybersecurity in an enterprise environment.
• Understanding of patch management concepts and familiarity with common tools such as WSUS or SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Apply patch management principles to identify, test, and deploy OS and application updates across enterprise endpoints.
• Coordinate routine and emergency patch cycles including pre‑deployment testing and rollback procedures.
• Monitor patch compliance and assist with remediation of non‑compliant systems.
• Understand dependencies between endpoints, servers, and networks for planning deployments.
• Document results and support audits with patch deployment records.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align patching with current threats and policies.
