Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Junior Patch Management Specialist to support the patch lifecycle for desktops, laptops, and remote endpoints to keep enterprise environments secure and compliant. You will help identify required OS and application patches, coordinate testing, and deploy updates to reduce vulnerabilities.

You will monitor patch status and compliance dashboards, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate issues affecting mission‑critical

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.
0–3 years in systems administration, IT support, or cybersecurity.
Familiarity with patch management concepts and tools (WSUS/SCCM).
Must have current secret security clearance.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Apply patch management principles to identify, test, and deploy OS/app updates across enterprise endpoints using standard patch management tools.
Coordinate routine and emergency patch cycles including testing, approvals, and maintenance window planning.
Monitor vulnerability and patch compliance reports and remediate non‑compliant systems.
Understand dependencies between endpoints, servers, and networks for planning deployments.
Assist with automated patch workflows, scheduling, and documentation for audits.
Maintain documentation for baselines, deployment procedures, and SOPs.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align patching with threats and policies.
