Job summary

BlackSea Technologies seeks a Junior Overseas Field Engineer to support the readiness, integration, and technical performance of GARC systems in fleet environments. You will perform hands-on engineering support, troubleshooting, configuration validation, and field operations during overseas deployments 90–120 days, followed by ~30 days in CONUS.

Operate in austere maritime settings, often OCONUS, with occasional work with fleet stakeholders during deployments, testing events, or training

Qualifications

1–3 years of engineering support, system testing, field service, or related technical operations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
Foundational understanding of electrical, mechanical, or control-system principles.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and docs.
Willingness to deploy overseas for long durations.

Responsibilities

Provide field engineering support to sustain fleet readiness and mission performance.
Assist in system integration, validation, and evaluations during operations.
Help troubleshoot, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
Implement and verify approved engineering changes while maintaining config control.
Deploy globally up to 75% to support fleet exercises and fielding events.
Document observations, test results, and coordinate findings with teams.
Assist with launch, recovery, and mission execution in maritime environments.
Maintain accurate records of configurations and field modifications.
