Job summary

Dow Chemical Co. seeks a Junior Operator to support our Ardmore, OK facility. The role operates assigned equipment, troubleshoots plant processes, and works in a 24-hour, rotating 12-hour shift environment.

You will perform field checks, monitor controls, and participate in safety and process improvement activities. This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and legal work status in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends.
• US driver’s license required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline principles to ensure safe, efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate and field check process equipment.
• Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems.
• Perform tasks per standard task list including field checks and samples.
• Initiate and participate in Root Cause Investigations as required.
• Coach and train others on plant operations.
• Perform immediate response activities and manage unplanned events.
• Operate a forklift/fork truck.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
