Job summary

Dow is seeking an Operator for Seadrift, Texas, to operate assigned equipment and monitor plant processes in a 24-hour, rotating 12-hour shift schedule. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform field checks, and support Root Cause Investigations while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or higher with related technical credentials or equivalent military experience, plus 5+ years in chemical/manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one of: Associates degree or higher in Process Technology or related degree; Dow may consider 3+ years of relevant military experience in lieu of a degree; 5+ years of experience as an Operations Technician in a Chemical, Oil & Gas or Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline to ensure safe, efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate and field check process equipment; monitor process conditions and control systems.
• Perform tasks per standard task list including field checks, sampling, equipment prep.
• Ensure activities align with plant goals; troubleshoot deviations and improve reliability.
• Initiate root cause investigations; coach and train others on plant operations.
• Collaborate with team; handle unplanned events; perform maintenance and basic repairs.
• Manage multiple plant computer control systems; prioritize safety and environmental stewardship.
