Job summary

Dow in Seadrift, Texas, is seeking an Operator to operate assigned equipment and manage process conditions in a 24-hour plant environment. The role requires 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule, strong adherence to safety and environmental standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs as needed.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree in Process Technology or related field, or 3+ years of relevant military

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required with either an Associate degree/Process Technology degree or military experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years as an Operations Technician in Chemical, Oil & Gas or Manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime, nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate and field check process equipment; monitor conditions and control systems.
• Perform tasks per standard task lists, including field checks, samples and equipment prep.
• Resolve process deviations with troubleshooting to maintain reliability and safety.
• Coach and train others on plant operations; support root cause investigations as needed.
• Manage multiple and complex plant computer control systems; work with cross-functional teams.
