Job summary

KBR ISA (Integrated Solutions Americas) is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer in Houston. You will work on design and analysis of offshore structures and floating production systems, applying DNV SESAM and FEA tools, and producing technical reports as part of a growing naval architecture team.

Ideal candidates have a civil/structural/naval/mechanical engineering background with 0–5 years of offshore experience and strong academic standing.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree in civil/structural engineering, naval architecture, or mechanical engineering.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience in offshore structures or related fields.
• Good academic standing as established by your college or university.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and analysis of offshore floating production or drilling units such as semisubmersibles and FPSOs.
• Calculate wind and hydrodynamic loading for offshore floating structures.
• Define load conditions and check stability.
• Assess strength, fatigue and buckling of stiffened plating structures.
• Utilize DNV SESAM and FEA software for structural/hydrodynamic analysis.
• Write technical reports.
