Job summary

Regent University is seeking a Network Technician in Virginia Beach to monitor network performance using monitoring tools and oversee Help Desk tickets related to networking systems. The role includes documenting incidents and resolutions for future reference and assisting in incident resolution.

The ideal candidate will understand TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and have familiarity with Windows and Linux, VMware, and backup operations.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP


• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems


• Familiarity with VMware, and backup operations


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

• Understanding of network monitoring and backup tools and methodologies


• Basic knowledge of network configuration and management


• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
