Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Junior Network Specialist to support design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN, MAN, and WAN networks. You will troubleshoot performance issues, drive capacity planning, and collaborate with vendor support to ensure uptime in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of related network experience, basic networking knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in related network functions.
• Certifications preferred: CCENT.
• Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+ or other equivalent certifications.
• Strong understanding of basic networking concepts, protocols, and practices.
• Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting network performance issues.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques for ensuring system uptime and performance.
• Effective communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be able to pass a background check and may undergo additional background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for monitoring and direction of information systems operations.
• Design, build, implement, and maintain LAN, MAN, and WAN infrastructures.
• Oversee compilation of records and reports related to network operations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues with root cause analysis.
• Analyze network traffic metrics to optimize performance and capacity planning.
• Monitor hardware/software issues in technical facilities and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with vendor support to facilitate outages or degraded performance resolutions.
• Manage end-to-end procurement, testing, installation, and support of network hardware and software.
• Other duties as assigned.
