Job summary

Cayuse is seeking a Network Specialist, Junior to support design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/MAN/WAN infrastructure. You will troubleshoot performance issues, monitor networks, and collaborate with vendors to resolve outages.

The role requires strong networking fundamentals, ability to document processes, and a Top-Secret clearance. Office presence is expected in a professional setting, with potential for varying project demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in related network functions.
• Top-Secret clearance is required.
• CCENT and CompTIA Security+ are preferred certifications.
• Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, MAN concepts and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and document network issues clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for monitoring and optimizing information systems operations.
• Design, build, implement, and maintain LAN, MAN, WAN infrastructures.
• Direct and oversee recording and reporting for network operations/maintenance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Analyze traffic metrics to optimize performance and plan capacity.
• Collaborate with vendor support for escalations during outages.
• Manage end-to-end procurement, testing, installation, and support of network hardware/software.
• Other duties as assigned.
