Job summary

Extron is seeking a Jr. Network Applications Engineer in Anaheim, CA to support high‑performance AV streaming networks. You will work with pre and post‑sales teams, validate new network technologies, and help design robust solutions for customers.

The role requires a BS in EE/CE/IT/ET, hands‑on networking experience, and Cisco CCNA or Network+ certification. Travel may be required, and you will contribute to documentation and cross‑team testing in a fast‑paced office environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE, CE, IT or ET (or equivalent).
• Hands-on networking and training experience with network equipment.
• Solid foundation in LAN/WAN concepts, L2/L3, routing.
• Understanding of basic network switching & routing.
• CCNA or Network+ certifications.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point for general network and network-enabled Extron product support.
• Review system requirements to ensure understanding, accuracy, completeness, and feasibility.
• Participate in formal design and implementation activities ensuring performance and adherence to standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to test, troubleshoot, validate new products and technologies, and provide solutions and supporting documentation.
• Work with multiple network vendors and network technologies to meet customer requirements.
• Create appropriate technical documentation for the assigned tasks.
