Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transportation Engineer in Training (EIT) to contribute to planning, design, and management of transportation projects that move people and goods. This role provides opportunities to work on small and large high-profile projects in a collaborative, global company.

The candidate will perform roadway geometric design, model projects in OpenRoads with MicroStation, and assist in preparing construction documents and cost estimates under a licensed engineer’s guidance.

Qualifications

• BSCE in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation and Civil 3D preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and exhibits.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway and highway geometric design.
• Model projects in MicroStation using OpenRoads.
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimates under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.
• Perform field work to collect data or observe projects under construction.
