Job summary

Change Lending in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Junior Underwriter to support the underwriting team by reviewing and organizing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and guideline compliance prior to full underwriting review.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years mortgage operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage loan products and terminology.
• Experience using Encompass or similar LOS.
• Strong writing, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to and modeling of Company core values.
• Demonstrate urgency in executing duties.
• Complete income calculations from bank statements and provide income analysis to brokers via Freshdesk.
• Review loan submission packages and label documents (credit reports, income docs, bank statements, contracts).
• Request missing documents from AE via email.
• Verify Encompass 1003 and forms match reports and documents.
• Ensure loan file perimeters meet program guidelines.
• Regular on-site attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
