WSP in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking an Early Career Mining Engineer to support the Mine Engineering and Stability Earth & Environment Team. This role blends office work with field activities on open pit and underground rock mechanics projects, including data analysis and reporting.

The candidate should have a Civil, Mining, or Geologic Engineering degree, 0–1 year of experience, and be able to perform technical calculations, model work, and coordinate with field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mining, or Geological Engineering.
• 0–1 year of post-education engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering including slope stability, rock mechanics, and related design.
• Ability to perform technical computations and interpret plans and regulations.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.

Responsabilités

• Support senior staff on open pit and underground rock mechanics projects.
• Conduct field work, data collection, testing, and analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and contribute to 2D/3D models.
• Coordinate field activities including surveying, drilling, and monitoring.
• Provide QA/QC and contribute to project documentation.
