Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Safford, AZ. The role supports field maintenance activities, schedules, and shut-down planning.

You will work with supervisors and the Global Supply Chain to ensure readiness of parts and materials, while maintaining SAP records. Qualifications include a mix of high school education with several years of maintenance or planning experience, knowledge of maintenance systems, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus four years in field maintenance or planning, or an associate degree with two years of related experience, or a bachelor’s with one year planning/maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning concepts and processes.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the area Supervisor in job preparation, execution and follow-up per Freeport-McMoRan standards, including field readiness.
• Interact with the Supervisor to plan and monitor schedules for activities; participate in planning meetings.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting and manage schedules in the system.
• Develop, monitor and adjust activity schedules; maintain in the management system.
• Provide data to support maintenance decisions, budgets and weekly forecasts.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports for site management.
