Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to support desktop, imaging, and end-user services in a DoD environment at Fort Belvoir. You will install, configure, and monitor IT automation equipment, manage imaging, patching, and software deployment, and maintain high system availability while coordinating with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities include maintaining conference room IT, handling trouble tickets, documenting SOPs and architecture guides, and providing after-hours on-site

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with Windows Server 2016 or greater.
• 3 years of Active Directory experience.
• 3 years of experience with Windows 10/11 desktops.
• 3 years of Windows 365 Office experience.
• 3 years of desktop support and administration experience.
• 3 years of imaging OS and software deployment.
• 3 years of MS laptop imaging and troubleshooting.
• 3 years of equipment inventory management and asset control.
• 2 years of printer support and maintenance.
• Experience in government/DoD unclassified and classified environments.
• Current TS/SCI with ability to obtain a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, admin, and monitor end-user IT automation equipment and OS baseline.
• Maintain conference room IT equipment; track trouble tickets; coordinate with external support.
• Identify and resolve end-user IT issues to maintain high system availability.
• Provide inventory and automation matrices for DCD workspace monthly.
• Analyze support requests and propose solutions within 10 business days (CDRL A021).
• Test automation equipment after configuration changes and deployments.
• Respond to customer requests by end of business day with status and ETA.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, TTPs, system architecture guides and diagrams.
• Notify government of outages within 30 minutes and log within 4 hours.
• Monitor and route trouble tickets for Desktop Support Administration; prioritize for 99% availability.
• Coordinate equipment issue/turn-in with Property Book Office; update asset database.
• Provide after-hours on-site support; respond within 2 hours and escalate if unresolved.
