Job summary

ProSource Group in New York City is seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to assist with the delivery and coordination of broad HVAC/MEP projects. You will work with seasoned PMs, engineers, and field teams from preconstruction through closeout, gaining exposure to complex environments across commercial interiors, life science, hospitality, and more.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HVAC, mechanical construction, MEP, or mechanical engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installation methods.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Exposure to project coordination, procurement, scheduling, or cost tracking.
• Experience with Bluebeam or BIM/coordination software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting a Junior Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of an established HVAC and MEP contractor delivering a broad range of mechanical projects throughout New York City. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Project Managers, engineers, and field teams, gaining exposure to projects from preconstruction and planning through installation, start-up, commissioning, and closeout. Projects include commercial interiors, building renovations, infrastructure improvements, life science, hospitality, and other technically demanding environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of mechanical construction or HVAC experience who is looking to develop their project management skills within a specialist mechanical contractor.

Your main duties will include:

• Supporting the delivery and coordination of commercial HVAC and MEP projects.
• Assisting with schedules, procurement, cost tracking, and project planning.
• Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and project requirements.
• Coordinating HVAC equipment, piping, ductwork, controls, and related systems.
