Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to contribute to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for water and industrial water treatment facilities within our Buildings sub-discipline. You will read design guides, perform calculations, and develop P&ID sketches to support diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) as needed.
• Hybrid or flexible work options after the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Read and apply departmental design guides, standards, and policies.
• Equipment sizing and performance calculations.
• Development of P&ID drawings and related deliverables.
• Contributes to preparation of basic engineering calculations and reports.
• Manage data for engineering work and ensure budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with project team leadership to understand client drivers.
