Mission Technologies in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer who is on track to graduate in May 2027 to join our defense and intelligence-focused teams.

Qualifications

• 0 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret level security clearance.
• Experience using project management techniques and practices.
• Experience using 3-D modeling software for complex assemblies, detailed design, and realistic rendering.
• Knowledge of raw materials, prototyping and production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing fabrication and manufacture of electro-mechanical devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the design, development, prototype fabrication, and verification testing of unique specialty products.
• Perform detailed system and sub-system analysis, simulation, and design work as required.
• Work with complex mechanical system concepts and detailed designs to determine necessary tradeoffs.
• Interface with project teams and external customers to support specialized product development.
• Participate in assembly, system test planning, and system test procedure generation.
• Document processes, procedures, and testing using structured formats; provide a recommended format where none exists.
• Learn and utilize the Quality Management System (QMS) and existing tools and templates.
