Product Development Junior Manager, Quality Assurance & Quality Control
About ODDITY

ODDITY is a consumer technology company that builds and scales digital-first brands to disrupt offline-dominated beauty and wellness categories. The company serves more than 60 million users through its AI-driven online platform, using data science to identify consumer needs and develop solutions in the form of beauty and wellness products. ODDITY’s brands include IL MAKIAGE, SpoiledChild, Methodiq, and Brand 4.

Our continued success is driven by our winning mindset and unparalleled physical and technology products. We have made significant investments in data science, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and biotechnology to identify consumer needs and create differentiated solutions. Our proprietary computer vision technology enables smartphone cameras to capture hyperspectral wavelengths of light beyond the capabilities of the human eye. In 2023, ODDITY acquired Revela, a biotechnology start-up that uses AI-based molecule discovery to bring next-generation proprietary ingredients to the beauty and wellness market.

ODDITY has business headquarters in New York City, an R&D center in Tel Aviv, Israel, and a biotechnology laboratory in Boston. Our culture is fast-paced, innovative, and agile, giving every team member the opportunity to make a significant impact.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated, highly detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial Product Development Junior Manager to join us as we build our fourth brand in the beauty and wellness category entirely in-house.

In this role, you will work closely with our Product Development team and leadership to ensure that every Brand 4 product meets our exceptionally high standards for quality, consistency, functionality, and consumer experience. You will support quality assurance and quality control across the entire product portfolio, evaluating both formulas and packaging throughout development, manufacturing, and production.

This position includes both in-office work and hands-on work at our manufacturing and laboratory partners’ facilities. International travel may account for up to 20% of the role, particularly during critical production periods.

What You Will Do
  • Support and execute quality assurance and quality control processes across the full Brand 4 product portfolio, from development through mass production.
  • Evaluate formulas, components, packaging, and finished goods against approved specifications, standards, and reference samples.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of production samples and finished goods, assessing attributes such as appearance, color, texture, odor, fill, functionality, packaging execution, and overall consumer experience.
  • Partner with the Product Development team to establish clear product specifications, quality standards, testing requirements, and approval criteria.
  • Own the operational process for product quality reviews, including sample tracking, inspection documentation, issue logs, approvals, and follow-up actions.
  • Work directly with suppliers, manufacturers, laboratories, and packaging partners to identify quality issues, determine root causes, and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Monitor required product and packaging testing, including stability, compatibility, microbiological, safety, performance, and transportation testing, as applicable.
  • Maintain organized and accurate quality documentation, ensuring that decisions, standards, approvals, and open issues are clearly recorded and communicated.
  • Provide regular updates to senior Brand 4 leadership on quality status, risks, testing, and production readiness.
Who You Are
  • You have 1–3 years of professional experience in product development, quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, operations, consulting, or another role in which you developed strong project-management and problem-solving skills.
  • You are exceptionally organized and have outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies and maintain a high quality bar.
  • You can manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and reprioritize quickly as business needs change.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and can use data, observations, and structured thinking to identify root causes and drive solutions.
  • You demonstrate a high level of individual ownership and personal accountability, with a strong bias toward action and getting things done.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently and can manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguity while also following detailed standards, specifications, and established processes.
  • You are willing to be highly hands-on, including inspecting products, documenting defects, organizing samples, and following issues through to resolution.
  • You learn quickly and are motivated to develop a strong intuition for product quality across formulas, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, consumer products, manufacturing, or QA/QC is a plus.
  • You must be willing to travel internationally. Travel may average one week per month during active production periods
