Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking an M/E Engineer 1, AFG to grow within our Advanced Facilities Group. The role focuses on learning safety and quality plans while performing routine M/E activities and supporting bid and preconstruction tasks.

You’ll develop estimates, review options, and assist in coordinating mechanical/electrical scopes for multiple projects nationwide. 0–2 years of construction experience is preferred, with a bachelor’s in engineering and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op experience in construction (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Lears to develop budgetary M/E estimates using program and schematic design information.
• Assists in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects.
• Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assists in developing sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements.
