Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company seeks an entry‑level M/E Engineer 1 to support the Advanced Facilities Group. You will participate in safe, quality-driven mechanical and electrical work on projects nationwide, learning to prepare cost estimates, assist with bid analyses, and help develop scopes of work for bidding and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field is required.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op preferred.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates from program and schematic design information.
• Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
• Develops mechanical/electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists with bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Supports sequencing and constructability review efforts.
• Learns shop drawing/submittal process and commissioning steps.
