Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Mechanical and Electrical Engineering role in Iowa City. You will engage in safety, quality, and field construction tasks while learning to prepare budget-based M/E estimates and support bid activities.

The candidate will develop understanding of project scopes, coordination during bidding, and execution support across multiple disciplines within our Advanced Facilities team. This role offers growth in a nationwide contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field.
• Experience not required or minimal; 0-2 years construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety and quality programs and promote injury-free work culture.
• Perform entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction tasks.
• Assist in developing budget-based M/E estimates from program info.
• Assist in bid review and subcontractor selection processes.
• Learn to develop M/E scopes for bid coordination and schedule alignment.
• Support shop drawing and submittal processes and commissioning activities.
