Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Lighting Designer with 0-4 years of experience to join our collaborative Lighting Design group. The role involves developing lighting designs, luminaire selection, controls, and energy-code compliance within a multidisciplinary team.

The position is hybrid, with 3 in-person days per week, and locations include Chicago and other major cities. Ideal candidates have a strong Revit proficiency, familiarity with BIM tools, and experience with photometric calculations and software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• 0–4 years in lighting design and lighting calculations.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM tools.
• Familiar with LightStanza, AGI32, IES files.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting design solutions with the design team.
• Produce lighting layouts in Revit.
• Perform photometric calculations using AGI32 or LightStanza.
• Ensure energy code compliant designs and code calculations.
• Document lighting control concepts and specs.
• Prepare presentation materials and renderings.
• Create luminaire schedules and product sheets.
• Develop and review mock-ups.
