Job summary

Stantec is seeking a student intern in Lighting Design to gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary environment in Denver. You will work on lighting designs, fixture selection, lighting controls, and energy code compliance under guidance from our Lighting Design group.

The position emphasizes collaboration, producing Revit layouts, and photometric calculations using tools like LightStanza and AGI32. Office-based with some hybrid flexibility; several geographic office options are listed.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a 4-year degree in an accredited design or engineering program focused on lighting design.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with a can-do approach to project work.
• Familiarity with Revit and BIM applications; ability to research and present design options.

Responsibilities

• Producing lighting layouts in Revit.
• Photometric calculations using AGI32 or LightStanza.
• Energy code compliance calculations.
• Report writing.
• Developing presentation materials, renderings and graphic packages.
• Develop luminaire schedules and pull product spec sheets.
• Develop and review mock-ups.
• Collaborate with design team.
