Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Lighting Designer (0-4 years) to contribute to our Lighting Design group. You will collaborate with architects and engineers to develop lighting concepts, layouts, and documentation for iconic projects. The role is hybrid, with at least 3 days in person, and opportunities across multiple U.S.

locations including San Francisco. Ideal candidates have a strong Revit background, familiarity with BIM tools, and proficiency in photometric calculations using LightStanza or AGI32.

Qualifications

Bachelors' degree in lighting design, architecture, engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop lighting design solutions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Produce lighting layouts in Revit and related software.
Perform photometric calculations using AGI32, LightStanza or similar tools.
Ensure energy code compliant designs and provide code calculations.
Create lighting control intent, documentation, and specifications.
Prepare reports and develop presentation materials and renderings.
Develop luminaire schedules and pull product specification sheets.
Develop and review mock-ups and collaborate with design team.
