Job summary

Stantec's Lighting Design group invites entry‑level to early‑career lighting designers to join a collaborative multidisciplinary team. You will work on lighting designs, luminaire selection, lighting controls, energy code compliance and documentation across iconic buildings.

The role is hybrid with at least three days in person, with office locations including Austin, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle or Denver. Strong BIM and photometric skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Entry level to three years’ experience designing lighting systems and performing lighting calculations.
• Proficiency with Revit and BIM tools is required.
• Familiarity with photometric calculation software and IES files is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting design solutions and collaborate with the design team.
• Produce lighting layouts in Revit.
• Perform photometric calculations using LightStanza or AGI32.
• Ensure energy code compliant designs and provide code calculations.
• Document lighting control intent, specifications and deliverables.
• Contribute to reports, renderings and presentation materials.
