Responsibilities

• Manage discovery, draft motions and briefs, and support non-compete, non-solicitation, and trade secret matters.
• Draft responses and position statements for EEOC charges and similar inquiries.

JUNIOR LEVEL LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY

Our well-regarded business law firm client is seeking a junior associate (1-3 years) for its labor and employment team in Dallas. The role blends transactional and litigation work, with a focus on restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and employment counseling. Excellent opportunity for significant direct client communication.

• Transactional/Advisory Work: Spotting employment-related red flags during M&A due diligence, researching employment law questions, and drafting or updating employment agreements, offer letters, and employee handbooks.
• Litigation: Managing discovery, drafting motions and briefs, and supporting cases involving non-competes, non-solicitation agreements, and trade secret disputes. Prior experience defending or prosecuting individual employment claims is a plus but not required.
• Administrative Agency Work: Handling EEOC charges - drafting responses, position statements, and replies to agency information requests.
• Academic Background: A strong record from law school and undergraduate studies.
• Communication Skills: Sharp legal writing ability and comfort maintaining regular, direct communication with clients, providing clear, practical guidance and updates on case status and strategy.

Compensation Range: $225,000 - $260,000 (exclusive of bonus)
